Jill is the Founder, CEO, and Chief Creative Officer of BSTRO. She is a champion of ideas, building BSTRO into a place where talented, engaged people craft strategies and tell stories—through words, visuals, and technology—that inspire others to action.
Since founding the agency in 2004, Jill has built BSTRO into a trusted partner for global brands, health and education leaders, and well-funded startups. With a clear focus on helping companies look better, sound better, and sell more online, BSTRO has thrived—growing 100% through word-of-mouth referrals from clients who are so confident in the work we do that they put their brand behind ours.
Before founding BSTRO, Jill built brands, developed marketing communications, and executed campaigns for Silicon Valley startups and Fortune 500 corporations. In addition, she taught the Fundamentals of Graphic Design at the Academy of Art University.
With decades of marketing experience under her belt, Jill has a deep understanding of how to help companies embrace technology and navigate market transformations. She’s laser-focused on achieving business objectives and is always looking for the most effective tools to accomplish those goals. As someone who’s been on the client side of the equation, Jill knows what’s expected of agency partners and manages BSTRO to exceed them.
Jill is more than a creative force behind BSTRO; she’s a leader in the community, breaking barriers for women and championing causes that drive meaningful change. As co-founder of SHE’S GOT NEXT, Jill is helping to elevate Canadian women’s sports while building pathways for the next generation of women in leadership. She’s shown her commitment to fostering inclusion through her work with Out in Schools, supporting initiatives to create safer spaces for LGBTQ+ youth through open dialogue. A believer in the power of collective action, Jill raised tens of thousands of dollars for the SF AIDS Foundation by cycling from San Francisco to Los Angeles four years in a row on the AIDS/Lifecycle Ride.
Originally from New Jersey, Jill blends her tell-it-like-it-is directness with the southern hospitality she picked up while earning her BA in Public Relations at the University of South Carolina. She found her creative voice in San Francisco while completing her MFA at the Academy of Art University and now draws daily inspiration from the natural beauty of Vancouver. Together, these influences fuel her passion for design, transformation, and making the world a bit kinder. At home, she shares this purpose with her partner Julie and daughter Harper.
