Digital Marketing - Project Manager

BSTRO is an award-winning international agency with offices in Vancouver, San Francisco, and New York. We work with Fortune 500s, exciting start-ups, and public health organizations that are changing the world.

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Project Manager to work with our team of designers, developers, digital strategists, and writers to deliver integrated web, email, social, and advertising campaigns for our clients. As a Digital Marketing Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing critical aspects of a project throughout its life cycle including generating and managing project plans, estimates, and schedules. The position requires the ability to coordinate the efforts of cross-functional teams, prioritize project tasks and embrace interactive best practices.

We are currently looking for a solution-oriented, Digital Marketing Project Manager that is comfortable with traditional marketing methodology and curious to find new ways to drive business outcomes in the digital world. The person in this role will manage and direct the day-to-day Agency efforts on behalf of the account(s) assigned. The marketing project manager ensures their projects are on time, on brief, and result in outstanding client satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities

  • Seeks to understand the client’s business and industry or marketplace in order to anticipate the client’s marketing needs to help grow the client’s and the agency’s business.
  • Work with the account and creative teams to lead strategy and project delivery.
  • Produce high quality error-free work, execute campaigns and launch websites flawlessly, create project plans/statement of works/workback schedules and manage multiple projects and tasks on multiple client accounts at a time.
  • Manage tasks and achieve milestones and adjust priorities as necessary and escalate issues as appropriate to the Account Director so that client objectives are achieved.
  • Co-ordinate the execution of and/or analyzes pertinent research that informs stronger creative solutions.
  • Brief teams on new projects and actively participate in internal client brainstorming sessions by offering ideas.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with our client and agency staff.
  • Attend weekly strategic discussions concerning clients, discussing steps to enhance client business, proactively contribute ideas to projects, and regularly make recommendations on how to improve a project.
  • Proofreads and traffics websites and other marketing communication materials to ensure quality, accuracy, and manufacturer and legal compliance.
  • Maintain client confidence and protect marketing operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Develop post-mortems for past projects and present key learnings to agency and client.
  • Identify opportunities within the account to strengthen and grow the business relationship.
  • Provide monthly billing and internal administrative reports as required.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Fluid Hybrid email development
  • Degree or diploma in marketing or equivalent combination of related education and account management experience
  • At least 2 years digital marketing agency experience.
  • Superior client-servicing skills
  • Superior organization and time management skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, juggle multiple projects and work independently in a fast-paced office
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and ask for help when needed

Digital Marketing - Multimedia Advertising Designer

Can you tell a story in six seconds? Can you hold people’s attention for 20 minutes? Do you know how to set a tone, capture a moment, and evoke a feeling? We are looking for video storytellers to join our advertising team and help us bring more joy and engagement to the content that is running on websites, social platforms, and streaming broadcast channels.

BSTRO is providing an opportunity for a Motion Graphics Artist, Video Editor and Videographer to join our team of advertising and marketing storytellers. We’re looking for someone creative and motivated with experience in developing :06 : 15, : 30 and : 60 second commercials and videos for streaming TV, Social Media, and Websites. Our clients range from leading Silicon Valley startups to household consumer products. We value diversity of thinking, a range of different styles, and someone who can capture a slice of life as well as scripted stories. Experience shooting video with a DSLR camera for minor production, with a basic understanding of audio, lighting and camera operation. In this role, the candidate can exercise all areas of video production from shooting, editing, compositing and full motion graphics design to storyboarding and conceptualization. Experience in graphic design is a plus as well.

You’ll work as part of the growing team to create ads, reels, stories, and videos that inform, entertain, and inspire. Motion graphics animations, video editing, and production must make you happy or you won’t thrive in this role.

Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge in the latest Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator). After Effects is a requirement as this is heavily used in our production. 3D animation background is a plus.
  • Creative understanding of animation design and to ensure graphic solutions and look/feel are consistent with brand and style guidelines.
  • Shooting video on a DSLR Camera, basic understanding of lighting a scene and recording audio on set.
  • Edit video footage, syncing music and other audio, as well as creation of motion graphics and effects.
  • Knowledge of final output/rendering for broadcast TV and knowledge of video codecs, compositing, transcoding, and overall video formatting for web, television, and mobile devices.
  • Understanding and applying current design trends, while exhibiting a keen eye for design and high quality aesthetics.
  • Ability to translate scripts and storyboards into stunning visual programs and fuse creativity and content to deliver cutting edge animations.
  • Shooting videos across social media channels, including: Instagram Reels, Stories, and TikTok.

  • Degree or diploma in multimedia film production, visual communications, graphic design or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Experience with transcoding and file compression standards/best practices.
  • The desire and drive to create work that is enduring, emotionally resonant, and thought-provoking.
  • Ideally, you’re familiar with atomic design principles and Growth Driven Design.
