Art Wagner had just gone for a routine health check-up when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2009. After undergoing successful treatment through surgery and radiation at UCSF, he found a new lease on life and was determined to raise awareness for the all-too-common disease. Within a year, he had launched Septembeard, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer research. In the following video, Art shares what prompted him to launch the program and what he’s hoping to achieve.
